Patrols respond to the area of North 6th Avenue and speak with a resident who stated that his vehicle was burglarized sometime between June 10 at 11:00 pm and June 11 at 8:00 am. Investigation to continue.

A resident of North 2nd Avenue responds to Police Headquarters and reports his vehicle was stolen four days earlier sometime on June 8 from in front of his residence. The stolen vehicle was reported as a 2006 blue Chevrolet Equinox, New Jersey registration V95-GYV.

Patrols respond to the area of Bound Brook Avenue and speak with a resident who stated they received a call about wiring money to bail out their grandson. Victim sent money and then they received a second call asking for more money claiming that their grandson was arrested and needs bail money. They spoke to the grandson who was not arrested or in need of bail. Investigation to continue.

Patrols respond to the Retro Fitness in the Marketplace Mall on the report of a suspicious incident. It was reported that a six foot white male in a gray shirt, shorts and his hat backwards took keys from the board and then came back in and put them back on the board. The victim checked his vehicle and nothing appeared to be missing.

Patrols respond to the WalMart on a report of a shoplifter. Patrols subsequently arrest Alfonso Varga (45) of Somerville for shoplifting. He was transported to Police Headquarters where he was processed, charged and released.

Patrols respond to Adesa on the report of a theft. The victim reports that his dealer plate was taken off his vehicle between 10:00 am and 1:20 pm. The license plate was entered into the NCIC system.

Michael Brown of Trenton was arrested on an outstanding warrant. He was transported to the Somerset County Jail in default of bail.

Patrols respond to the Marketplace Mall on the report of criminal mischief. Patrols speak with a victim who stated that a male driving a van deliberately hit her vehicle with his driver's side door after yelling at her for parking crooked. Patrols locate vehicle and identify driver who states that the vehicle was parked too close to him and he accidentally hit her car with his door. Victim was advised of rights to sign complaints.

Patrols respond to the Reading Cinema parking lot on the report of a theft. The victim states his 2017 Dodge Durango was taken from the Reading Cinema lot between 8:00 pm and 10:00 pm. The vehicle is located by GPS in Newark and the Newark Police Department is notified. Vehicle is entered into the NCIC system as stolen. The vehicle was finally located in Newark and removed from NCIC. Investigation to follow.

Patrols respond to WalMart on the report of a shoplifter. Patrols subsequently arrest Andrea Cable (26) of Neshanic Station for shoplifting. She was transported to Police Headquarters where she was processed, charged and released.

Patrols respond to the area of Gladys Avenue and speak with a resident who stated she sent three Apple iTunes gift cards to a person stating he belonged to Apple Support and that it was for an issue with her laptop. Investigation to follow.

Patrols respond to the area of North 4th Avenue and speak with a resident who reports that he paid the suspect from Audobon, NJ for three Monsterjam tickets and the suspect never provided the tickets. Investigation to continue.
