January Police Blotter

January 1, 2025 4:34 p.m.

Police responded to a local fast-food restaurant for a report of a theft. Patrol spoke with the reporting party, the manager of the restaurant, who advised that he had given free food to a homeless male who did not have money. When he left the male unsupervised, he stole money and items belonging to his daughter. Police reviewed video surveillance footage and were able to identify the male as Jesse Panyko (41). Panyko was charged with Theft and served with his summons on a later date.

January 3, 2025 3:28 p.m.

Patrol was dispatched to Walmart for a report of a shoplifting that had occurred earlier in the week. Police spoke with the employee who advised that two days earlier, a male took food items from the store without paying for them. Police were able to identify the male as Yasin Morris (42) of Manville, NJ. He was later located and charged with Shoplifting.

January 3, 2025

Police were dispatched to a local residence on the report of a citizen who had video footage of a child abuse incident. Patrol reviewed the video which showed a male striking a child in the middle of the roadway numerous times. Police were able to ascertain the identities of all involved and a 32 year-old male was subsequently arrested and charged with Simple Assault for the incident.

January 6, 2025 1:19 p.m.

Police were dispatched to a local residence on the report of an identity theft. Patrol spoke with the caller who advised that an unknown individual opened a Best Buy credit card in his name. He observed two transactions that he did not authorize and reported it to Best Buy. Police are investigating the incident.

January 9, 2025 2:42 p.m.

While on routine patrol, police observed an individual who is known to be trespassed from Walmart, walking away from the store with a Walmart shopping bag. Upon noticing the police, the male began running away. After catching up to the male it was determined that he had entered Walmart and stole merchandise from the store. The male, Yasin Morris (42) of Manville, NJ, was subsequently arrested, processed and charged with Shoplifting and Defiant Trespassing. He was later taken to Somerset County Jail.  

January 10, 2025 8:48 a.m.

Police were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision between a vehicle and a building. Upon investigating the collision, it was determined the driver, Angela Proctor (53) of Manville, NJ, had numerous active warrants for her arrest. She was subsequently arrested, processed and released on her own recognizance with a future court date.

January 12, 2025 1:26 p.m.

Patrol conducted a motor vehicle stop for numerous traffic violations. It was determined the driver, Alberth Samuels-Vega (47) of Milford, NJ, was under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently placed under arrest, processed, and released to a responsible party.

January 13, 2025 11:36 p.m.

Police conducted a motor vehicle stop for numerous traffic violations. It was determined the driver, Scarllyn Ruiz-Matos (31) of Somerset, NJ, had an active warrant for his arrest. He was subsequently arrested, processed and turned over to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.

January 14, 2025

Police were dispatched to a local residence on the report of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, it was determined that a male aggressor struck his fiancé is the face. The 34-year-old male was subsequently arrested for Domestic Violence Simple Assault. He was processed and transported to Somerset County Jail.

January 16, 2025 9:50 a.m.

Police conducted a motor vehicle stop for numerous traffic violations. It was determined the driver, Jafir Peterman-Jones (25) of Bound Brook, NJ, had an active warrant for his arrest. He was subsequently placed under arrest, processed and released on his own recognizance with a future court date.

January 16, 2025 2:27 p.m.

Police responded to Walmart on the report of a shoplifting. Patrol spoke with Walmart staff who advised two individuals had taken numerous items from the store and left without paying for them. Police are investigating the incident.

January 17, 2025 2:30 a.m.

Patrol was dispatched to a motor vehicle collision. The officer’s investigation determined that the driver of the vehicle at fault was under the influence of alcohol. Alison Vasquez-Noguera (25) of Bound Brook, NJ was subsequently placed under arrest, processed and released to a responsible party.

January 18, 2025 12:22 a.m.

Patrol conducted a motor vehicle stop for numerous traffic violations. While conducting their investigation police determined that the passenger in the vehicle, Amanda Garcia-Ingram (26) of North Brunswick, NJ, had an active warrant for her arrest. She was subsequently arrested, processed and turned over to the North Brunswick Police Department for further processing.

January 18, 2025 5:05 a.m.

Police were dispatched to a local area of town on the report of a possible catalytic converter theft in progress. The matter is under investigation.

January 18, 2025 7:34 p.m.

Police responded to a local business on the report of a bicycle theft. Patrol spoke with the owner of the bicycle who advised that he left it in front of the business while he was shopping. When he returned outside, the bicycle was no longer there. Police are investigating the theft.

January 20, 2025 2:36 p.m.

Police were dispatched to a local residence on the report of a package theft. It was reported to police that a male possibly in his twenties took a package from the reporting party’s porch while she was not home. Police are investigating the theft.

January 25, 2025 10:13 p.m.

Patrol was dispatched to a local business on the report of a fight. Upon arrival, patrol located a male kicking another male while he was on the ground. The male aggressor, Joelle K. Stout (18) of Manville, NJ, was arrested for Simple Assault, Obstruction, and Disorderly Conduct. He was processed and released with a future court date.

January 27, 2025 11:10 p.m.

Police were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle collision. While on scene, patrol spoke with a female who advised she struck four parked vehicles while returning home. While conducting their investigation, police determined the female, Bonnie Donnell (44) of Edison, NJ, was under the influence of alcohol. She was placed under arrest, processed, and released to a responsible party.

January 30, 2025 4:11 p.m.

Police conducted a motor vehicle stop for numerous traffic violations. While conducting their investigation, it was determined there was a fraudulent license plate on the vehicle and it was subsequently towed for being unregistered and uninsured. It was also determined the passenger in the vehicle, Leon T. Nimley (31) of Trenton, NJ, had active warrants for his arrest. He was subsequently arrested, processed and turned over to Plainsboro Police for further processing.

January 31, 2025 9:06 p.m.

Police conducted a motor vehicle stop for multiple traffic violations. It was determined that the driver, Debbie Drake (53) of Dunellen, NJ, had an active warrant for her arrest. She was subsequently placed under arrest, processed, and released on her own recognizance with a future court date.

NOTE: The charges are merely an accusation, and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
