March 1, 2025 3:42 a.m.
Police arrested Gregory Sylvester (49) of Dunellen, NJ for an active warrant. He was processed and released on his own recognizance with a future court date.
March 2, 2025 1:48 p.m.
Police were dispatched to a local residence for a report of a motor vehicle theft. Upon arrival, patrol spoke with the reporting party who advised that an unknown female entered his vehicle while his teenage son was in it. While the female was attempting to take the car out of park, the boy exited the vehicle, and the female took off in the car shortly after. She was later apprehended in New Brunswick still operating the vehicle. Sabrina Hunter (30) of Manville, NJ was arrested, charged with carjacking, then processed and transported to Somerset County Jail.
March 4, 2025 7:15 p.m.
Police spoke with a juvenile and a parent, who advised the juvenile was the victim of an attempted robbery. The juvenile advised that two unknown males helped him after he got his dirt bike stuck in mud. After helping him, they tried to take the dirt bike from him and physically assaulted him while doing so. The juvenile advised he was able to get the dirt bike back from them and fled the scene. Police are actively investigating the incident.
March 5, 2025
Patrol was dispatched to a local residence on the report of a domestic violence restraining order violation. After investigating the incident, a warrant was issued for a 33 year-old male for contempt of a restraining order. He was arrested a few days later and transported to Somerset County Jail.
March 6, 2025 5:15 p.m.
Police arrested John Harms (53) of New Brunswick, NJ on an outstanding Manville warrant. He was arrested, processed and released on his own recognizance with a future court date.
March 7, 2025 12:50 a.m.
Patrol conducted a motor vehicle stop for multiple violations. It was determined the driver, Javier Torres (25) of North Brunswick, NJ, had active warrants for his arrest. He was arrested, processed and released on his own recognizance with a future court date.
March 8, 2025
Police were dispatched to a domestic dispute. An investigation led to a 19-year-old male being arrested for domestic violence simple assault. He was processed and transported to Somerset County Jail.
March 9, 2025 1:49 a.m.
Police conducted a motor vehicle stop for numerous traffic violations. Based on the officer’s observations and the driver’s actions, it was determined the driver, Adam Breen (46) of Somerset, NJ, was under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently placed under arrest, processed and released to a responsible party.
March 11, 2025 5:37 p.m.
A female resident responded to Manville Police Headquarters to report a fraud. She advised police that an individual claimed to be a representative from Apple and successfully scammed her. The resident gave the individual money through “Cash App” and had her buy and transfer Cryptocurrency to him. She was advised to report the incident to her bank’s fraud department as well. Police are investigating the incident.
March 12, 2025 1:59 p.m.
Police were dispatched to an area in Manville on the report of a solicitor knocking on doors. Police located the solicitor who did not have a permit. The male, Julian Henry (23) of Rosselle, NJ was subsequently issued a borough ordinance summons for soliciting without a permit. He was released with a future court date.
March 13, 2025 4:55 p.m.
After a month-long investigation, Manville Detectives charged Brian Blozen (50) of Toms River, NJ for a shoplifting that occurred the month prior. Utilizing multiple resources, police were able to positively identify the individual who stole a tv from Walmart and fled the scene.
March 16, 2025 12:51 p.m.
Police conducted a motor vehicle stop for numerous traffic violations. It was determined the driver, Jesus Perez-Ramirez (41) of Manville, NJ, was under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently placed under arrest, processed and released to a responsible party.
March 17, 2025 5:20 p.m.
Police conducted a motor vehicle stop for traffic violations. It was determined a passenger in the vehicle, Ronickson Barthelus (32) of Manville, NJ, had active warrants for his arrest. He was arrested, processed and released with a future court date.
March 18, 2025 11:13 a.m.
Police arrested Kareem Boyd (41) of Manville, NJ for an active warrant. He was transported to Police Headquarters and later turned over to the Hunterdon County Sheriff’s Office for further processing.
March 18, 2025 2:17 p.m.
Patrol conducted a motor vehicle stop for numerous violations. While conducting their investigation the driver of the vehicle, Nicholai Miclescu (21) of Bellevue, WA, gave police a fraudulent driver’s license from another country. Miclescu granted officers permission to search the vehicle and police located an actual driver’s license. Miclescu was subsequently arrested for an indictable charge of possessing a fraudulent government document as well as hindering apprehension. He was processed and released with a future court date.
March 22, 2025 1:22 a.m.
Police were dispatched to a local residence on the report of a suspicious incident. It was reported that two unknown males were on the caller’s property stating they were there to use the caller’s home as an Airbnb. They then left the area and were stopped by police shortly after. They advised of a mistake in address for the Airbnb they rented and were sent on their way.
March 22, 2025 7:36 p.m.
Police were dispatched to Walmart on the report of a male who was previously advised he was no longer allowed there, at the store. Police made contact with Christopher John (39) of Manville, NJ and subsequently advised him he was under arrest for trespassing. He was processed and released with a future court date.
March 23, 2025 3:22 a.m.
Police arrested Amado Sarabia-Ramirez (38) of Bound Brook, NJ on an active Manville warrant. He was processed and released on his own recognizance with a future court date.
March 23, 2025 11:20 a.m.
Police arrested Jahmesha Hall (23) of Manville, NJ on an active warrant. She was transported to Police Headquarters and turned over to the Bound Brook Police Department for further processing.
March 23, 2025 3:39 p.m.
Police conducted a pedestrian stop on an individual who was known to have an active warrant for his arrest. The male, Richard Barone (58) of Manville, NJ, was subsequently placed under arrest, transported to Police Headquarters and turned over to the Hillsborough Police Department for further processing.
March 25, 2025 4:15 p.m.
Police were dispatched to a fight in progress call between multiple people. Upon arrival, police separated numerous individuals. One of the individuals attempted to run from the police and was subsequently apprehended. Kevin Hernandez-Garcia (18) of Manville, NJ was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct, processed and released with a future court date. All other parties were advised of their rights to sign complaints against each other.
March 26, 2025 1:50 p.m.
Police were dispatched to Walmart on the report of an individual who had been previously given a trespass notice currently on location. Police made contact with the male, Christopher John (39) of Manville, NJ, and escorted him off the property. He was subsequently charged with trespassing and released with a future court date.
March 29, 2025 11:07 p.m.
Police were dispatched to a local convenience store on the report of a drunk male asking people for rides and drinking the store’s coffee. The subject was located and removed from the property.
