December Police Blotter

December 1, 2025 at 11:09 a.m.

Police conducted a motor vehicle stop for traffic violations. It was determined the driver, Mauricio Bonilla (27) of New Brunswick, NJ, had an active warrant for his arrest. He was arrested, processed and released on his own recognizance with a future court date.

December 1, 2025

Police conducted a pedestrian stop on a male who was known to have a warrant for his arrest. After making contact with the 43-year-old male, he was placed under arrest and turned over to the Raritan Township Police Department for processing.

December 2, 2025

Police responded to a local residence for a report of a domestic dispute. After investigating the incident, police arrested a 49-year-old male for domestic violence simple assault as well as criminal mischief. He was processed and transported to Somerset County Jail.

December 3, 2025 3:09 a.m.

Patrol responded to a local rooming house for a report of a suspicious male who was not wanted at the residence. Police later located the male and ascertained that he had an active warrant for his arrest. The male, Reginald Grant (37) of Branchburg, NJ, was subsequently placed under arrest. During a search incident to the arrest, police located drug paraphernalia on his person. He was subsequently processed, charged appropriately and released on his own recognizance for the warrant.

December 3, 2025 at 3:21 pm.

Patrol was dispatched to Royal Farms for a report of a theft of an electric scooter. Police located a male matching the description given by the caller riding the electric scooter on the sidewalk. The male was stopped by police and interviewed about the incident. Police also spoke with the victim that confirmed the electric scooter in question was his. The male, James Nyakina (20) of Flemington, NJ, was subsequently placed under arrest, charged with theft and released with a future court date.

December 11, 2025 at 3:12 p.m.

Police were dispatched to a local residential area for a report of an active dispute over a parking issue. During the incident one of the males brandished a knife during the incident. Patrol made contact with the male and placed him under arrest. He was processed, charged and released with a future court date.

December 12, 2025 at 8:03 p.m.

Patrol conducted a motor vehicle stop for traffic violations. It was determined the driver, Chidieber Egesionu (27) of Hillsborough, NJ, had an active warrant for his arrest. He was arrested, processed and released on his own recognizance with a future court date.

December 13, 2025 at 10:45 a.m.

Police conducted a motor vehicle stop for traffic violations. After stopping the vehicle, the driver, Chris Stgilles (35) of Manville, NJ, exited the vehicle and fled on foot from the motor vehicle stop. He was later located and placed under arrest. Search incident to arrest, he was found to be in possession of drugs. He was processed, charged with possession of CDS and resisting arrest, and transported to Somerset County Jail.

December 16, 2025 at 2:26 a.m.

Police were dispatched to a residential neighborhood on the report of a male breaking into a motor vehicle. Police located the male, Edin Najera Gomez (26) of Manville, NJ, and placed him under arrest for criminal mischief, theft, and criminal trespassing. He was processed and transported to the Somerset County Jail.

December 17, 2025

Police were dispatched to a local residence on the report of a domestic dispute. After conducting their investigation, a 52-year-old male was arrested for domestic violence simple assault. He was then processed and transported to the Somerset County Jail.

December 19, 2025 at 1:05 p.m.

Police responded to a local residence on the report of fraud. A male reported being the victim of a rental property scam with a monetary loss of twenty-six hundred dollars ($2,600.00). This incident is actively being investigated.

December 21, 2025 at 12:26 a.m.

Police were dispatched to a local bar for numerous complaints of loud music. The owner was subsequently issued a borough ordinance summons.

December 23, 2025

Police were contacted by the New Jersey State Police to respond to a local residence for an attempt to locate a reported missing juvenile out of their jurisdiction. Police subsequently located the juvenile where she was turned over to her legal guardian and removed from the national database for missing persons.

December 26, 2025 at 2:25 p.m.

Police conducted a motor vehicle stop for traffic violations. It was determined that the vehicle was reported stolen by the Philadelphia Police Department. The driver, Daniel Ganthier (30), was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property. He was served with his copy of the summons and released with a future court date.

December 29, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.

After a month-long investigation, police charged Jahsiah Labega (22) of Rahway, NJ, with theft. He was issued a copy of the summons with a future court date.

December 29, 2025 at 3:22 p.m.

Police arrested Bryan Groves (39) of Manville, NJ for an active Manville warrant. He was processed and released on his own recognizance with a future court date.

December 29, 2025

Police responded to a local residence on the report of a domestic dispute. After conducting their investigation, a 42-year-old female was arrested for domestic violence simple assault. She was served with her copy of the summons and released with a future court date.

December 30, 2025 at 10:00 p.m.

Police responded to Walmart on the report of a male shoplifting. Police located the male, Tracy Rush (62), of Manville, NJ, and placed him under arrest for shoplifting. He was served with his copy of the summons and released with a future court date.

December 31, 2025 at 3:57 p.m.

Police conducted a motor vehicle stop for traffic violations. It was determined that the driver, Shatisha Shearin (22) of Forked River, NJ, had an active warrant for her arrest. She was arrested, processed, and released on her own recognizance with a future court date.
