Detective Division
The Detective Division is comprised of three detectives. These highly trained and experienced personnel focus on a wide variety of criminal offenses within the Borough of Manville. The Detectives expertise in a variety of Police Science disciplines enables them to skillfully investigate crime and apprehend offenders.
The Detective Division is responsible for the investigation, apprehension and preparation for prosecution of criminal cases and the recovery of stolen property. Detectives conduct investigations of assaults, sex crimes, homicides, burglaries, economic crimes, frauds, identity thefts, computer crimes, robberies, auto thefts, missing/endangered persons and narcotics investigations including trafficking.
In addition to these responsibilities, Detectives investigate all firearms applications, Borough licensing applications and State Alcoholic Beverage Control matters. Detectives are responsible for all sex offender registrations and investigations.
The Police Department also houses thousands of pieces of property and evidence which is managed by the Detective Division. Appointments can be made to review and obtain property and evidence. Items not claimed within six months of being found or marked releasable will be disposed of at either auction or destroyed.
