Police responded to the Marketplace parking lot for a report of a theft involving a stolen license plate. The investigation is ongoing, and the license plate was entered into the national database as stolen.

August 2, 2024 10:12 AM

Patrol responded to Walmart for a disorderly customer inside the store. Patrol located the individual who was escorted off the property with a warning.

Police conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested Alija Eato (37) of Piscataway on an outstanding criminal warrant. She was processed and released from police custody with a new court date.

Patrol responded to a borough address for a report of a burglary to a vehicle trailer. Patrol was able to obtain surveillance video of the suspect, and the investigation is ongoing.

August 6, 2024 7:05 PM

Police arrested Jackson Douglas (37) of Middlesex on an outstanding warrant. He was processed and released from police custody with a new court date.

Patrol responded to a borough residence on the report of a possible intruder. Patrol searched the areas, and the residence with no reported signs of criminal activity.

Police conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested Andrew Chiaramonte (22) of Hazlet on an outstanding criminal warrant. He was processed and released from police custody with a new court date.

Patrol conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested Scott Keller (38) of Somerset on an outstanding criminal warrant. Keller was processed and lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

August 9, 2024 12:42 AM:

Police responded to a borough address on the report of a disorderly male inside the home. Order was restored and the male left the area with a warning.

August 12, 2024 7:30 PM:

Patrol was requested to assist Hillsborough Police for a person with a gun. Patrol assisted Hillsborough Police, and the investigation was turned over to them after deeming there was no danger to the public.

August 13, 2024 12:44 PM:

Police responded to Washington Avenue on the report of two vehicles with slashed tires. The vehicles were damaged between August 10 and August 12 while parked on the street. Police are obtaining video surveillance, and the investigation is ongoing.

August 13, 2024 8:12 PM:

Patrol responded to a borough residence on the report of a fight in progress. Patrol arrived on scene and separated numerous people involved. Criminal charges are pending while the investigation is ongoing.

August 14, 2024 10:19 PM:

Police responded to a borough address on the report of a stolen cellphone. Police have been able to track the cellphone and a suspect has been identified. Criminal charges are pending as the investigation is ongoing.

August 15, 2024 1:17 PM:

Patrol responded to Walmart for a reported shoplifting in progress. Patrol located and arrested Christopher Browne (38) of Somerset in the parking lot. He was charged with shoplifting and released from police custody with a court date.

August 15, 2024:

Police responded to a borough residence for a report of a physical domestic violence dispute. Police arrested a 26-year-old female for assault. She was processed and lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

August 18, 2024 10:13 PM:

Patrol responded to Quick Chek on the report of an attempted motor vehicle theft. The suspect attempted to open a motor vehicle door; however, the vehicle was locked. The investigation is ongoing.

August 20, 2024 8:32 PM:

Police conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested Marquise Foster (39) of Hillsborough on numerous outstanding criminal warrants. Foster was able to post full bail on the warrants and was released from police custody with new court dates.

August 22, 2024 4:14 PM:

Patrol responded to Walmart for a report of shoplifting in progress. Patrol was able to locate the suspect, who was removed from the property.

August 23, 2024  3:07 PM:

Police responded to a local restaurant for a  report of a cooking oil theft. Surveillance video was obtained, and a suspect has been developed. The investigation remains ongoing.

August 23, 2024:

Patrol responded to a borough address on the report of a domestic violence assault. Patrol arrested a 40-year-old male for assault. He was processed and lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

August 25, 2024  2:38 AM:

Police arrested Sebastian Rodriguez (23) of Manville for D.W.I. He was processed and released from police custody with a court date. 

August 25, 2024 9:57 AM:

Patrol arrested Kevin Fowler (27) of Plainfield on an outstanding criminal warrant. Fowler was processed and released from police custody with a new court date.

August 26, 2024 8:33 PM:

Police are investigating a stolen motor vehicle that was originally rented but has not been returned. The vehicle has been entered as stolen into the National Database and the investigation is ongoing.

August 28, 2024 4:54 PM:

Patrol arrested Brian Ulicny (58) of Manville on an outstanding criminal warrant. Ulicny was able to post the full cash bail. He was processed and released from police custody with a new court date.

August 29, 2024 3:02 AM:

Police conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested Marlon Jackson (34) of Vineland on numerous outstanding criminal warrants. Jackson was processed and lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

August 30, 2024 3:52 PM:

Patrol was dispatched to Dukes Park for a reported man down by the riverbank. Due to the location of the male, Manville Police Officers along with the Manville Fire Department conducted a water rescue across the river. The male was successfully brought to shore and transported to a local hospital for treatment.

August 30, 2024 6:15 PM:

Police were dispatched to Walmart on a shoplifting report. Police located and arrested John Vonborstel (27) of East Brunswick, who had an outstanding criminal warrant. The male was removed from Walmart and released from police custody with a new court date.

 NOTE:  The charges are merely an accusation, and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
