Child Passenger Seat Inspections

The Manville Police Department has certified National Child Passenger Safety officers. These officers are certified to assist residents with the installing a child car seat properly. Some common problems are improper seat for a child’s weight/age, expired seat, improper latch or seat belt routing, tangled shoulder belts, improper rear facing angles and child seats with manufacturer recalls that have not been updated or completed.

It is stressed to follow the manufacturers instructions exactly when installing the seat, when in doubt contact the Manville Police Department to make an inquiry of the proper procedure to install it.
